The goal of the Institute
“In my years of experience as a therapist trainer I have observed that even the most complete training programs fail to teach people how to be. This is where the need to create this space comes from. If you are reading this, I hope you can resonate with these words and that here you may find a place to grow, not only as a therapist, but also as a human being.”

The goal of the Institute
We advocate for a change in paradigm in the way we view andapproach therapy. Rather than focusing on doing, we believe in developing a sense of being that opens our worldview and allows us to observe and feel alongside the patient . We wish to be able to go beyond what our eyes can see and what our ears can hear, instead using the therapeutic presence, our nervous systems and our hearts to fully listen and reflect over what it means to be alive.
We hope that by training and making use of this therapeutic presence we are able to solidify the bases of a true therapeutic
encounter. We consider the therapist-client bond to be an essential part of our work, irrespective of the therapist’s orientation, and a prerequisite to any technique used in
therapy.
